Flammable substances deserve extra attention in a responsible company management, because of personal safety, direct company damage and not to forget the consequential damage. Flammable substances do not only include inflammable substances, but all substances which in a fire situation can cause a dangerous reaction. Think for example about chlorine and sulphuric acid. In order to protect these substances for the environment in an adequate way, the directive CPR 15-1,-2,-3 can prescribe storage spaces which have to be constructed in a fire resistant way. For the determination of the fire resistance of the storage room, the product shall be tested according to the test standards NEN 3884/6069. In the Netherlands the result of the test shall be at least 60 minutes. In those situations where extra safety is required, Hiltra also supplies 90-minute fire-resistant storage spaces.
