HILTRA® BIGSAVER® MODEL BS (rental)
Design/fire resistance:
- The composite structure was assessed by the accredited testing institute Efectis®.
- Efectis brandwerendheidsrapport: 94-CVB-R1178/2009-Efectis-R0834(Rev.1)/2010-Efectis-R1117-S.
- Designed as an independent fire compartment for the storage of packaged hazardous materials based on the Building Code and guideline PGS 15: 2025 version 1.0 (final/Jan. 2025) .
- Fire resistance (WBDBO) 60 minutes determined in case of fire from outside and fire from inside on all criteria of Measure M25 of PGS 15: 2025 version 1.0 (final/ Jan. 2025)
Housing (walls, roof and door):
- Casing made of galvanized sheet piling.
- Interior made of non-combustible and insulating material. Walls, door and ceiling completely finished with galvanized plate.
- The roof is equipped with an integrated rain gutter on both long sides.
- Standard equipped with lifting device suitable for empty transport of the unit . Standard equipped with earth connection point.
- Roof surface equipped with flange ØxH=80x40 mm for connecting a fan/ventilation channel to the outside.
- Single door according to EN 1634-1:2008 (EI160):
- Bigsaver® model BS 1 is standard equipped with a self-closing single-leaf door in case of fire. Door placed in the long side.
- Door wing equipped with latch, panic handle, cylinder lock and door closer including automatic Thermolock fire closing mechanism.
- Door rebates equipped with fire sealing strips so that they are automatically closed in case of fire.
- Door can be locked at an opening angle of approx. 90°, in the event of fire the Thermolock breaks the locking and the door will automatically close in the latch.
- Double door according to EN 1634-1:2008 (EI160):
- Bigsaver® models BS3 and BS6 are standard equipped with a self-closing double-leaf door in case of fire. Door placed in the short side.
- Right wing with latch, panic handle, cylinder lock, door closer including automatic Thermolock fire-closing mechanism.
- Left wing on inner side with espagnolette lock, door closer including automatic Thermolock fire closing mechanism.
- Door rebates equipped with fire sealing strips so that they are automatically closed in case of fire.
- Door can be locked at an opening angle of approximately 90°, in case of fire the Thermolock breaks the lock and the door will automatically close in the latch.
Leak tray:
- Completely liquid-tight welded drip tray made of steel plate executed with galvanized grate floor segments.
- Conservation: SA2.5 blasting and preservation with a 100 µm Acraton zinc phosphate epoxy coating in color RAL 7005/mouse gray.
- Drip tray on the inside additionally provided with a reinforced, fiberglass-reinforced polyester lining as protection of the drip tray(s) against the action of chemicals. Resistance list on request.
Ventilation openings:
- Ventilation and venting by diametrically placed ventilation openings inside and outside finished with galvanized vane grilles.
- Standardly equipped with flame retardant mesh and fire resistant louvers to automatically close in case of fire.
Hazard designation:
- Danger designation by pictograms according to PGS 15, Ø and/or ? 200 mm, symbol: "flammable (liquid) substances" and "fire, naked flame and smoking prohibited" (other pictograms available on request).
Fundament:
- Hiltra Bigsaver fire compartments must be placed on a poured concrete foundation. The foundation is to be carried out according to standard NEN2747 with flatness class 2, however limited to a maximum deviation of 5 mm over the entire length and/or width of the facility itself. It is recommended that the foundation be at least 250 mm larger than the external dimensions of the facility itself. Claims attributable to an incorrect foundation will be rejected in advance.
