Hiltra® Batterysaver™ BS fireproof storage systems for lithium-ion energy carriers !
Since November 2023, the new directive the PGS 37-2 for the storage of lithium-ion energy carriers is in force. Did you know that Hiltra® has been making fireproof storage systems for lithium-ion energy carriers for over 15 years!
Our Hiltra® Batterysaver™ BS fireproof storage systems, with a fire resistance of 60 and/or 90 minutes, are suitable for indoor and outdoor installation and specially designed for the safe storage and/or charging of lithium-ion energy carriers. The Hiltra® Batterysaver™ BS fire compartments are supplied with KIWA certificate. Have been tested and certified in accordance with EN 3140. Naturally, the fire resistance is determined on the basis of current fire tests and recorded by Efectis in a fire resistance report.
Why a Hiltra® Batterysaver™ fire compartment:
- The Batterysaver™ has a proven fire resistance of 60 or 90 minutes.
- The Batterysaver™ fire compartment features 2 double doors with electromagnets to lock the doors when open.
- The Batterysaver™ is equipped with temperature control (air conditioning) to regulate temperature and a fan to dissipate heat.
- A possible explosion is contained by a pressure relief hatch in the roof of the Batterysaver. The pressure relief hatch contains a filter mat that keeps out splashing lithium particles. There is also a drain on the hatch to discharge the highly toxic hydrogen fluoride gas.
- The Batterysaver™ is equipped with an aerosol extinguishing system. In the event of a fire, the extinguishing cartridges disperse an extinguishing agent into the cabinet and the mist is distributed to the products.
- The Batterysaver™ is equipped with an electrical system that controls all necessary components such as temperature (cooling, warming, fan), doors, visual and audible alarms and notification to PAC.
Together with our Belgian partner CGK Group, the storage of lithium-ion energy carriers at WAAK in Kuurne (BE) is arranged in a fire-safe and responsible manner!"
